Hungry planet and podcast
Today, I would like to present about Hungry planet
and the podcast that I found online.
First, let's look at The Hungry Planet by Peter Menzel and Faith D'aluisio.
In the book, it talked about changing food patterns.
In this book, most of the part was about food eaten in each country.
However, since we covered some of them in class, I want to conclude this book from a different angle.
From the change of the food patterns, diabesity has been a huge problem.
So what is it...?
One of the countries that has been facing the crisis because of the Diabesity is the United States.
First, let's look at this country from the aspect of Diabetes.
Now, what's causing obesity?
Now, what's causing obesity?
One thing I realized through this book is that having lots of food choices doesn't mean you have a healthy diet. Having fewer choices doesn't mean your diet is unhealthy either. It really depends on what you choose.
Next, I would like to move on to the podcast.
I listened to the podcast by BBC which Dr. Chris Van Tulleken did his research on how Ultra-processed diets can affect his health.
(The red one is ultra-diet food)
The doctor talked about how a lot of people in the UK eat Ultra-processed food.
Since the picture looks a bit blurry, let me add information about what Ultra-processed food means here.
According to the British Heart Foundation, Ultra-processed food means
Food that has five or more ingredients. They tend to include many additives and ingredients that are not typically used in home cooking, such as preservatives, emulsifiers (乳化剤), sweeteners, and artificial colours and flavours. These foods generally have a long shelf life.
⬇︎His research and outcome
what he faced
Through reading this book and listening to the podcast, I realized that all the options that we choose in everyday life have a huge effect on our health.
Sometimes, we can eat high-calorie food.
Maybe fast food, frozen food, or highly processed food to finish a meal quickly.
However, the most important thing is to balance.
So, let's balance our diet for a healthy future.
Thank you for reading.

Your reflections on _Hungry Planet_ and the BBC podcast that you reported on were interesting and informative. Your layout and balance of graphics and text was effective in not overloading the reader with information The way you incorporated PPT slides in your post was also well done as the text was clearly readable.
